SOVA (Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults)
Within Apex Care homes the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) is central to the care we provide. We ensure that all our staff receive training in relation to the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and that we follow the local adult protection procedures and policies. We also provide training to our Service Users and have designed leaflets for them to ensure they are aware of the safeguards in place and how to report any concerns.
In order to ensure we keep up to date and contribute to the development of local policy and procedures our General Manager sits as a provider representative on both the Luton and Bedford Adult Safeguarding Boards having previously worked for a local authority for six years as a solicitor specializing in child protection.
